...High Fire Danger Today...

The Maine State Forest Service has indicated that the wildfire
danger across portions of the Central Highlands and Downeast Maine
is high today. You should check with your local fire department
or forestry office before doing any burning. Please remember that
a burn permit is required for all burning.

Strong northwest winds will bring dry air into the area today.
Winds will remain gusty this afternoon with low relative humidity
values and sunny skies. These weather conditions may bring the
potential for any fires that develop to spread quickly.
