...Strong Thunderstorms on Highway 50...

* At 824 PM radar indicated clusters of strong thunderstorms along
Highway 50 well east of Fallon. Specifically, storms were near Sand
Mountain and east of Cold Springs. Storms will continue in this
  area through 930 PM.

* Half inch hail, heavy rains, and winds in excess of 40 mph will be
possible with these storms. Accumulating hail along with heavy
rains could make for tricky driving conditions on Highway 50.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

During a thunderstorm, seek shelter inside a sturdy structure and
stay away from windows. Hikers and campers should seek shelter in a
vehicle if possible.
