Rip Current Risk:      Low Risk. The risk for rip currents is low,
                       however, life threatening rip currents often
                       occur in the vicinity of the South Padre Island
                       jetties. Remember to swim near a lifeguard, if
                       possible.

Lightning Risk:       None.

Ultraviolet Index:     Moderate. Wear a wide-brimmed hat and
                       sunglasses, and use sunscreen of SPF 15 or
                       higher. Seek shade during the midday hours of
                       10 am to 4 pm.

Weather:               Mostly sunny.

Temperatures:          Near 70.

Wind:                  Becoming Southeast 10 to 15 mph.

Wave Heights:          2 to 3 feet.

Surf Temperature:      65 degrees.

Bay Temperature:       57 degrees.

Tides:                 A low at 5 42 am. A high at 1 56 pm.
                       A minor low at 6 25 pm. A minor high at 9 43 pm.

Outlook:               A low risk of rip currents will continue through
                       the daylight hours on Thursday. An elevated risk
                       for rip currents then develops on Thursday night
                       through Friday night, Saturday night into Sunday,
                       and Monday night into Tuesday due to rough seas.
                       Thursday will trend mild with afternoon highs in
                       the mid 70s before turning cooler for Friday and
                       Saturday behind a cold front with afternoon high
                       temperatures in the low to mid 60s. Skies become
                       overcast with a likely chance for rain following
                       the cold front from Thursday night into Saturday.
