WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY.

LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS REMAIN POSSIBLE THROUGH EARLY THIS AFTERNOON.
ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE LIGHT...IF ANY. THEREFORE...THE WINTER

* AFFECTED AREA...THE WASATCH AND WESTERN UINTA MOUNTAINS OF
  NORTHERN UTAH.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...STORM TOTAL ACCUMULATION RANGING FROM 1
  TO 2 FEET...WITH GREATER AMOUNTS IN THE UPPER COTTONWOODS.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO DECREASE IN AREAL COVERAGE AND
  INTENSITY THROUGH EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. THIS LULL WILL LAST INTO
  TONIGHT. PERIODS OF SNOW...HEAVY AT TIMES...WILL REDEVELOP LATER
  TONIGHT.

* WINDS...PERIODS OF STRONG WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS...GUSTING IN
  EXCESS OF 50 MPH ALONG EXPOSED RIDGELINES...ARE POSSIBLE LATE
  TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY. THESE WINDS MAY RESULT IN CONSIDERABLE
  BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF NEW SNOW.

* IMPACTS...HAZARDOUS WINTER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE
  WASATCH AND WESTERN UINTA MOUNTAINS TONIGHT INTO MONDAY. THIS
  MAY IMPACT TRAVEL ON ALL ROUTES THROUGH THESE MOUNTAINS
  INCLUDING I-80 AND US-89. THOSE CONTEMPLATING TRAVEL OR OUTDOOR
  ACTIVITIES SHOULD BE PREPARED AND PLAN ACCORDINGLY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS A MIXTURE OF HEAVY SNOW AND STRONG
WIND IS EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. DRIVING CONDITIONS MAY BE
HAZARDOUS. USE CAUTION. BE PREPARED FOR SUDDEN RESTRICTIONS IN
VISIBILITY DUE TO BLOWING SNOW. KEEP A WINTER STORM SURVIVAL KIT
IN YOUR VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.

MONDAY...

* AFFECTED AREA...THE WASATCH MOUNTAIN VALLEYS AND THE WASATCH
  PLATEAU AND BOOK CLIFFS.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL WILL RANGE BETWEEN 6
  AND 12 INCHES. ACCUMULATIONS ALONG THE WASATCH PLATEAU WILL
  RANGE BETWEEN 8 AND 16 INCHES THROUGH MONDAY.

* TIMING...SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE TO DIMINISH THROUGH EARLY
  AFTERNOON. THIS LULL WILL LAST INTO THIS EVENING. SNOW WILL
  REDEVELOP LATER TONIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING AND CONTINUE THROUGH
  MONDAY AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED AT TIMES ACROSS
  THE WASATCH MOUNTAIN VALLEYS AND THE WASATCH PLATEAU TONIGHT
  INTO MONDAY. THIS MAY IMPACT TRAVEL ON ALL ROUTES THROUGH THESE
  AREAS INCLUDING I-80...US-40 AND US-6. THOSE CONTEMPLATING
  TRAVEL OR OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES SHOULD BE PREPARED AND PLAN
  ACCORDINGLY.
