...Flooding possible along The Turkey River...
For the Turkey River the following locations are included:
Spillville...Elkader...Garber.

Forecast rainfall, combined with the already moist soil conditions,
is expected to result in rising water levels. Should this forecast
rainfall materialize, flooding is possible in these areas, though
there is uncertainy with rainfall amounts and location, so keep
up to date with the latest river forecasts.

Turkey River at Spillville...The stage today was  2.84 feet. Flood
stage is 9.0 feet. The river is forecast to rise above flood stage
Saturday morning, and reach 10.60 feet Saturday morning. This would
result in Minor flooding, with additional rises expected thereafter.

Turkey River at Elkader...The stage today was  7.66 feet. Flood stage
is 12.0 feet. The river is forecast to rise above flood stage this
evening, and reach 16.80 feet Saturday morning. This would result in
Moderate flooding, with additional rises expected thereafter.

Turkey River at Garber...The stage today was  8.62 feet. Flood stage
is 17.0 feet. The river is forecast to rise above flood stage
Saturday morning, and reach 26.70 feet Saturday evening. This would
result in Major flooding, with additional rises expected thereafter.
