...LOCAL FLOODING THREAT ON THE RISE...

THE STRONG WINTER STORM MOVING THROUGH THE AREA TODAY WILL DRAW
WARMER AIR NORTH AND WEST. PRECIPITATION WILL NOT FALL AS HEAVY SNOW
THIS AFTERNOON...BUT RATHER RAIN...IN SOME AREAS OF EXTREME
NORTHEAST IOWA...SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN...INTO CENTRAL WISCONSIN.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF AROUND ONE-HALF INCH ARE PROBABLE THIS WITH RAIN
AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS TODAY. WITH THE GROUND FROZEN AND SNOW
PILED UP...LOCAL SEWERS AND DITCHES MAY HAVE TROUBLE DRAINING THIS
WATER. LOCAL PONDING OF WATER ON ROADS COULD CAUSE A DRIVING
HAZARD...ESPECIALLY IN TOWNS AND CITIES.

AT THIS TIME...CREEKS AND RIVERS ARE NOT EXPECTED TO HAVE A LARGE
RISE...BUT ICE JAM PROBLEMS COULD RESULT.

FURTHER UPDATES WILL BE ISSUED AS NEEDED ON ANY FLOODING THREAT.
