.Ongoing thunderstorms over the area have brought near 2 inches of
precipitation over the last two hours across the advisory area.
Thunderstorms are expected to continue over the next couple of hours
with an additional 1 to 2 inches of rain expected.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Iowa, including the following
  county, Fayette.

* WHEN...Until 545 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding and ponding of water in urban or other
  areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 246 PM CDT, the public reported heavy rain in the advisory
    area due to thunderstorms with water beginning to pond on
    area roadways. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Oelwein, County Roads 3 And W 13 and County Roads 3 And W 33.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
