Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley

Southerly winds on the backside of a high pressure system over the
Ohio River Valley brought unseasonably warm temperatures into the
region today. Afternoon temperatures ranged from the lower to
middle 70s across northwest Minnesota...to the lower to middle 90s
across southern Minnesota...southern Wisconsin and much of Iowa.

Under mostly clear skies across the region...temperatures were in
the middle 70s to middle 80s this evening. Mostly clear skies can
be expected tonight across the area...as the high pressure system
remains in control. Low temperatures will fall into the middle to
upper 60s.

Southerly winds out ahead of a cold front over central Minnesota
and western Iowa will continue to usher in unseasonably warm
temperatures across the region. High temperatures are expected to
rise into the middle 80s to lower 90s.
