Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are moving through the
Upper Mississippi River Valley region this afternoon, producing up
to half an inch of new rainfall for some areas west of the
Mississippi River. Skies are mostly cloudy, with temperatures from
the mid 60s in southeast Minnesota to the lower to mid 70s in
southwest Wisconsin and northeast Iowa.

A break in shower and thunderstorm activity is expected this
evening, with chances increasing once again after midnight. Low
temperatures tonight are expected to be in the lower to mid 60s.

Periodic chances for showers and thunderstorms will continue through
much of the holiday weekend, with a dry period likely late Sunday.
High temperatures this weekend will range from the mid 70s to lower
80s.
