WEATHER SUMMARY FOR UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
440 AM CDT SAT AUG 30 2014

LOW PRESSURE MOVING INTO THE UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY PRODUCED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE AREA OVERNIGHT. SOME OF THE
RAINFALL WAS QUITE HEAVY AT TIMES. TEMPERATURES EARLY THIS MORNING
WERE IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 60S.

PLAN ON THE SHOWERS TO SLOWLY DEPART THE AREA TODAY WITH SOME
SHOWERS AND POSSIBLY A THUNDERSTORM OR TWO LINGERING ACROSS CENTRAL
WISCONSIN. OTHERWISE LOOK FOR HIGHS TODAY IN THE MIDDLE 70S TO NEAR
80 DEGREES.

SKIES ARE EXPECTED TO BE PARTLY CLOUDY TO MOSTLY CLEAR TONIGHT AS A
RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS INTO THE REGION. PLAN ON OVERNIGHT
LOWS IN THE MIDDLE 50S TO THE LOWER 60S.

LOOKING FURTHER OUT...SUNDAY WILL BECOME WARMER AND INCREASINGLY
HUMID AS SOUTH WINDS PICK UP AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT.
PLAN ON HIGHS IN THE 80S.

THE COLD FRONT IS THEN EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO AND THROUGH THE AREA
SUNDAY NIGHT INTO LABOR DAY FOR ANOTHER ROUND OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS. A FEW OF THESE STORMS COULD BE STRONG TO SEVERE. LOOK
FOR LOWS SUNDAY NIGHT IN THE 60S AND HIGHS ON LABOR DAY IN THE
MIDDLE 70S TO NEAR 80 DEGREES.
