Showers and thunderstorms are moving across portions of eastern Iowa
and southwest Wisconsin this afternoon. Temperatures are varying
greatly, ranging from the lower 70s in easter Iowa to the mid 80s
across much of Wisconsin.

Chances for showers and thunderstorms will overspread the region
tonight into Wednesday. Some of the storms could produce heavy
rainfall into Wednesday morning, which could lead to localized areas
of flash flooding. Lows tonight will be in the mid to upper 60s with
highs on Wednesday in the 80s.

A potentially dangerous heat wave will impact the area Thursday and
Friday, with heat index values expected to rise to 100 to 115 during
the afternoon. Now is the time to prepare for the heat. Ensure the
elderly and those with heath problems have access to air
conditioning.
