Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley

Mild and windy conditions prevailed over the area today with
mostly cloudy skies. Afternoon high temperatures were in the mid
30s to low 40s.

A period of unsettled weather is expected later tonight through
Tuesday with several periods of precipitation. Freezing rain is
expected to move through parts of northeast Iowa, southeast
Minnesota, and into north-central Wisconsin Monday morning, with
mostly rain farther south and mostly snow farther north.
Temperatures will cool further Monday night into Tuesday, with
freezing rain being seen over nearly the entire area. In summary,
icy roads will create hazardous travel for many on Monday and
Tuesday.

Quieter weather will return for the middle of the week with
highs in the teens and 20s on Wednesday before warming up again
late in the week.
