Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley

Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms moved through the area
overnight and into the morning hours on Friday, producing only a
few hundredths of rain. Low temperatures this morning were
generally in the 60s.

Some additional showers and storms were moving through parts of
north central Iowa and south central Minnesota during the mid-
morning hours. Otherwise, most of the area will remain dry today
with high temperatures in the 80s to near 90 in a few spots. Lows
tonight will be in the 60s, with some showers and storms possible
mainly west of the Mississippi River.

The warm weather will continue on Saturday, though a cold front
will sweep through the area late Saturday afternoon through Sunday
morning, bringing shower and storm chances to the entire region. A
temporary cool down will then be seen for Sunday and Monday, with
high temperatures in the upper 60s to mid 70s.
