WEATHER SUMMARY FOR UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
320 PM CDT SAT APR 19 2014

THE REGION WAS CAUGHT BETWEEN HIGH AND LOW PRESSURE SYSTEMS
TODAY...AND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO WAS PROVIDING GUSTY
SOUTH WINDS. BUT WHILE THE WINDS MAY HAVE BEEN A BIT OF AN
ANNOYANCE TO SOME...THEY DID HELP BRING MUCH WARMER AIR INTO THE
AREA. AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES SURGED INTO THE 60S AND LOWER 70S.

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL TRACK ACROSS SOUTHERN CANADA TONIGHT
AND SUNDAY...DRAGGING A WEAK COLD FRONT THROUGH CENTRAL MINNESOTA
AND NORTHERN WISCONSIN TONIGHT. SOME SHOWERS WILL BE SEEN NEAR THE
FRONT THIS EVENING...BUT MORE DEVELOPMENT WILL BE SEEN OVERNIGHT
AND ESPECIALLY SUNDAY AS ANOTHER WEATHER DISTURBANCE MOVES IN
FROM NEBRASKA. THE HIGHEST RAIN CHANCES WILL BE FROM LATE SUNDAY
MORNING INTO THE AFTERNOON HOURS.

LOOK FOR LOWS TONIGHT TO GENERALLY BE IN THE 50S FOR THE LOCAL
AREA...WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE 30S IN NORTHERN MINNESOTA WHERE
THE SNOW STILL IS. HIGHS SUNDAY SHOULD ONCE AGAIN REACH THE 60S.
