Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley

Showers and thunderstorms moved through the area overnight and
during the morning hours, leading to heavy rainfall and gusty
winds. Low temperatures were in the mid to upper 60s.

Additional showers were occurring mainly in northeast Iowa and
southeast Minnesota during the late morning. These will continue
to move to the east throughout the day. High temperatures will be
in the mid 70s in southeast Minnesota and central Wisconsin to the
mid 80s in northeast Iowa and southwest Wisconsin.

Showers and storms are expected to continue Friday evening and
through much of Saturday, leading to flooding in some locations.
Along with the rain, temperatures will be much cooler through the
weekend, with highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
