Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley
National Weather Service La Crosse WI
820 PM CDT Tue Oct 17 2017

Sunshine and unseasonably warm weather was the rule across the area
today. High temperatures ranged from the upper 60s to the mid 70s,
which was 10 to 15 degrees above normal.

We can expect the dry weather to last through Friday, with a small
chance for showers developing Friday night west of the Mississippi
river, with widespread showers for Saturday.

In the shorter term, a strong area of low pressure will track
eastward across southern Canada bringing gusty wind and a weak cold
front through the region Wednesday. The cold front will result in a
minor drop in temperatures for Thursday, with temperatures
rebounding Friday.

Looking at those temperatures, expect tonight`s lows to range from
45 to 50. Thursday will see widespread high temperatures in the low
and mid 70s, though upper 60s across northern Wisconsin.
Temperatures then slip into the 60s to around 70 for Thursday, and
then back into the low and mid 70s for Friday.
