Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley

Skies were partly to mostly cloudy across the region this morning as
a cold front was advancing southward through Minnesota and northern
Wisconsin. Low temperatures last night were in the mid 20s to mid
30s.

There will be a slight chance of snow late this afternoon and
evening as the cold front moves through. Before the front arrives,
expect highs to reach the mid 30s to mid 40s this afternoon.
Temperatures will be much colder behind the front, with lows tonight
ranging from around zero degrees from southern Minnesota into
northwest Wisconsin to the teens in eastern Iowa and southwest
Wisconsin.

High pressure will bring sunny skies to the region on Friday, but
high temperatures will be limited to the mid teens to lower 20s.
Temperatures will return to above normal for the upcoming weekend.
Expect on and off chances for wintry precipitation Saturday into
Tuesday.
