A blanket of clouds covered much of the region this morning.
Overnight low temperatures were generally in the 60s region wide.

Under mostly cloudy skies, highs today will top out from near 60 in
northern Minnesota, to the lower 80s in eastern Iowa. Tonight
lows will range from the middle 40s over northern Minnesota
to the upper 50s in eastern Iowa.

A sunny and dry end to the work week, with temperatures still a few
degrees below the mid July normals. Shower and thunderstorm chances
return for Saturday afternoon and evening.
