DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVNING HOURS LIGHT SNOW
OVERSPREAD MUCH OF IOWA AND SOUTHERN MINNESOTA. BY MID EVENING SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS WERE IN THE ONE HALF TO ONE INCH RANGE.

THE REGIONS WEATHER WILL BE DOMINATED BY THE STORM SYSTEM PASSING TO
OUR SOUTH OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS. THIS LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TONIGHT
AND EARLY SUNDAY WILL BRING WIDESPREAD SNOW...SOME HEAVY...ACROSS
IOWA...FAR SOUTHERN WISCONSIN AND NORTHERN ILLINOIS...WITH AMOUNTS
TAPERING OFF TO THE NORTH ACROSS MINNESOTA AND WISCONSIN AS IT
ENCOUNTERS THE DRY HIGH PRESSURE TO THE NORTHWEST.

AS A RESULT WINTER STORM WARNINGS HAVE BEEN POSTED FOR ALL BUT FAR
NORTHEAST IOWA AS WELL AS EXTREME SOUTHERN WISCONSIN AND NORTHERN
ILLINOIS. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES WILL BE IN EFFECT FOR EXTREME
NORTHEAST IOWA INTO FAR SOUTHERN MINNESOTA AND THEN INTO PORTIONS OF
WESTERN WISCONSIN. FARTHER NORTH IN MINNESOTA AND WISCONSIN LITTLE
IF ANY ACCUMULATION WILL BE SEEN.  GUSTY NORTH WIND WILL DEVELOP ON
SUNDAY RESULTING IN BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW...ESPECIALLY ACROSS
EASTERN IOWA INTO SOUTHERN WISCONSIN.

OVERNIGHT EXPECT LOW TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW AND MID TEENS...WITH
SINGLE DIGITS INTO NORTHERN WISCONSIN. THE HIGHS ON SUNDAY WILL THEN
BE COLDER AS TEMPERATURES WILL NOT RISE MUCH IF ANY FROM THE NIGHT
TIME LOWS.
