Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley

In the mid afternoon a line of showers and thunderstorms developed
across the region. Temperatures were mainly in the in upper 70s
and lower 80s, though areas that received rainfall were cooler in
the lower to mid 60s.

Showers and storms will continue to move through the area during
the afternoon and tonight. Gusty winds, small hail, and brief
heavy downpours can be expected with these storms. Overnight lows
will be in the upper 50s to lower 60s.

The precipitation is expected to move out of the area late tonight
into Wednesday morning, with drier and slightly cooler weather on
tap for Wednesday and Thursday, with high temperatures mainly in
the low to mid 70s. Areas in northeast Iowa and southwest
Wisconsin will be slightly warmer, with temperatures in the upper
70s.
