Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley

Dry weather prevailed across much of the region today, though by
late afternoon thunderstorms were moving across northern Iowa and
southern Minnesota. The afternoon highs ranged from the upper 70s to
mid 80s.

Showers and thunderstorms will overspread much of the area tonight.
The precipitation will then taper off west of the Mississippi river
Wednesday morning and then to the west of the river during the
afternoon.

Looking at the temperatures, expect lows tonight in the mid and
upper 60s, with the highs om Wednesday in the upper 70s to lower
80s. The temperatures will then slip into the low and mid 70s for
Thursday, though some locations in southern Wisconsin may see an
80 degree reading.
