A MILD CHRISTMAS DAY WAS SEEN ACROSS THE REGION WITH EVEN SOME
SUNSHINE ACROSS IOWA INTO THE SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF MINNESOTA AND
WISCONSIN. HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGED FROM THE MID 30S TO MID
40S...WHICH WAS ANYWHERE FROM 8 TO 18 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL DEPENDING
ON LOCATION.

A WEAK AREA OF LOW PRESSURE AND A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO THE
REGION TONIGHT. THIS MAY BRING A LITTLE LIGHT SNOW...AND PERHAPS
SOME FREEZING DRIZZLE...INTO PORTIONS OF EASTERN MINNESOTA ALONG
WITH WEST CENTRAL AND NORTHERN WISCONSIN. A STRONGER SYSTEM WILL
THEN MOVE IN FOR FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY AND IT HAS THE POTENTIAL
TO BRING 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW...THOUGH SOUTHERN WISCONSIN MAY
ESCAPE THE SNOW AND JUST SEE SOME RAIN.

LOOKING AT THE TEMPERATURES...EXPECT LOWS TONIGHT IN THE UPPER 20S
TO LOW 30S. THE HIGH TEMPERATURES FRIDAY WILL VARY FROM THE LOWER
40S ACROSS SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN...TO THE LOWER 30S FROM NORTH CENTRAL
IOWA INTO NORTHERN WISCONSIN. BY SATURDAY HIGHS ARE GOING TO RANGE
FROM THE MID 20S TO MID 30S...AND THEN FROM 20 TO 30 BY SUNDAY.

IN THE LONGER TERM...TEMPERATURES NEXT WEEK WILL BE WELL BELOW
NORMAL WITH COLDEST DAY LIKELY TO BE TUESDAY WHEN HIGHS ONLY REACH
THE SINGLE DIGITS TO MID TEENS.
