Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley
National Weather Service La Crosse WI
1033 AM CDT Fri Sep 23 2016

Showers and thunderstorms moved through the area overnight leading
to additional flooding, mainly in northeast Iowa where over 3
inches of rain fell in some locations. Otherwise, low temperatures
were in the upper 50s to mid 60s.

Showers continued to dissipate and move to the south during the
late morning hours. Clouds will remain in the area for much of the
day, with some light rain and drizzle possible into tonight. High
temperatures today will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s.

Much of Saturday morning and afternoon will remain dry before a
cold front slides through the area leading to precipitation for
much of the area once again. Flooding will continue to be a
concern, as rivers are still running high and soils are completely
saturated from the previous rainfall.
