WEATHER SUMMARY FOR UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
310 PM CDT MON JUL 21 2014

ACROSS THE UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY...WARM AND HUMID
CONDITIONS PREVAILED. STRONG SOUTHERLY FLOW BROUGHT SUMMER HEAT
AND HUMIDITY...AND MID AFTERNOON READINGS WERE IN THE MIDDLE TO
UPPER 80S. HEAT INDEX VALUES RANGED FROM 95 TO 100
DEGREES...MAINLY WEST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER.

FOR THIS EVENING...PLAN ON IT BEING WARM AND MUGGY WITH
TEMPERATURES SLOW TO FALL. WINDS WILL REMAIN OUT OF THE SOUTH. A
THUNDERSTORM COMPLEX IS LIKELY TO DEVELOP LATER THIS EVENING
ACROSS THE DAKOTAS AND NORTHERN MINNESOTA...AND COULD MOVE SOUTHEAST
TOWARD NORTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN OVERNIGHT. IF IT OCCURS...IT WOULD
BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL. AREAS SOUTH
OF INTERSTATE 90 ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN DRY.

OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES WILL ONLY BOTTOM OUT IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER
70S. ANOTHER WARM AND HUMID DAY IS ON TAP FOR TUESDAY...ESPECIALLY
ACROSS NORTHEAST IOWA AND SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN WHERE HIGHS WILL
ONCE AGAIN REACH 90 DEGREES. HEAT INDICES WILL RANGE FROM 95 TO
100 DEGREES. A COOLER...DRIER WEATHER PATTERN WILL THEN MOVE INTO
THE UPPER MIDWEST FOR TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY.
