WEATHER SUMMARY FOR UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
400 AM CDT FRI AUG 29 2014

SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED TO MOVE ACROSS THE AREA
OVERNIGHT...WITH RAINFALL TOTALS RANGING FROM ABOUT A HALF INCH TO
AS MUCH AS 2 INCHES. THE CLOUDS AND RAIN KEPT TEMPERATURES STEADY
THROUGH THE NIGHT...WITH READINGS RANGING FROM THE MIDDLE 50S OVER
NORTHERN WISCONSIN...TO THE MIDDLE 60S ACROSS IOWA AND SOUTHERN
PORTIONS OF MINNESOTA AND WISCONSIN.

EXPECT MORE RAIN IN OFF AND ON FASHION TODAY AND ESPECIALLY
TONIGHT...AS ANOTHER WEATHER DISTURBANCE MOVES EAST ACROSS THE
REGION. ONCE AGAIN...SOME OF THE STORMS COULD GENERATE LOCALLY
HEAVY RAINFALL...AND SOME HAIL AND STRONG WIND CANNOT BE RULED OUT
EITHER.

THE RAIN THREAT SHOULD BE TAPERING OFF SATURDAY...AND SUNDAY LOOKS
GOOD TOO. BUT ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO THE AREA SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY.

AS FAR AS THE TEMPERATURES ARE CONCERNED...EXPECT HIGHS TODAY TO
BE IN THE 70S ACROSS MINNESOTA AND NORTHERN WISCONSIN...BUT 80S
WILL BE SEEN IN IOWA AND SOUTHERN WISCONSIN. LOWS TONIGHT WILL BE
IN THE 60S...WITH HIGHS SATURDAY IN THE 70S.
