Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley
National Weather Service La Crosse WI
300 AM CST Wed Dec 13 2017

Quiet weather conditions were noted the first half of the night,
with just a few flurries working east across the area. However,
during the pre-dawn hours, a band of snow began developing north of
Interstate 94, with accumulation through sunrise expected to be
around 1 to 2 inches in some areas. Temperatures moved very little
overnight, ranging from the lower teens across central and northern
Wisconsin, to near 30 degrees across northern Iowa.

Fast moving low pressure will skirt through the region today,
continuing snow across central and eastern Wisconsin, with a few
lighter snow showers or even a little freezing drizzle possible
elsewhere. Look for windy weather to also develop across Minnesota
and northern Iowa into the afternoon, as milder temperatures this
morning fall through late afternoon.

Peeking ahead to late week, a few weak weather systems will impact
the area with some flurries or very light snow from time to time, as
daily highs hold in the 20s, and overnight lows dip into the teens.
