Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley

High pressure centered over northern Illinois dominated the region
overnight and brought mostly clear skies. Overnight low
temperatures ranged from the middle 40s across northeast
Minnesota...to the middle 60s across southern Iowa.

Under mostly to partly sunny skies across the area...temperatures
were in the upper 60s to middle 70s this morning. The high
pressure system is expected to remain in control of the region
this afternoon and provide mostly sunny skies. High temperatures
will rise into the upper 70s to middle 80s.

A warm front will lift north into southern Minnesota and western
Wisconsin tonight and produce scattered showers and thunderstorms
across much of the area. Low temperatures are expected to fall
into the upper 50s to lower 60s.
