WEATHER SUMMARY FOR UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
1027 AM CDT THU APR 10 2014

A WEAK COLD FRONT MOVED THROUGH THE UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY
DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS...AND IT PASSED THROUGH WITH VERY
LITTLE PRECIPITATION. MORNING LOWS WERE MILD THANKS TO CLOUDY
SKIES THROUGH THE NIGHT...RANGING FROM LOWER 40S TO LOWER 50S.

PLAN ON MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES EARLY BECOMING PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY
THIS AFTERNOON AS COOL CANADIAN HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS INTO THE
REGION. WINDS WILL BE OUT OF THE NORTHWEST...SUSTAINED 10 TO 20
MPH WITH SOME HIGHER GUSTS. LOOK FOR HIGH TEMPERATURES TO REACH
THE UPPER 50S TO LOWER 60S...EXCEPT FOR NORTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN
WHERE LOWER 50S ARE EXPECTED.

A DRY NIGHT IS ON TAP...WITH LOWS FALLING INTO THE LOWER TO UPPER
30S REGION WIDE. THIS IS NEAR NORMAL. A FAST MOVING WEATHER
SYSTEM COULD BRING SOME SHOWERS TO THE AREA FRIDAY
MORNING...MAINLY NORTH OF THE INTERSTATE 90 REGION. PLAN ON HIGHS
WARMING UP TO THE LOWER TO UPPER 60S UNDER PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY
SKIES.

LOOKING AHEAD...THE FIRST PART OF THE WEEKEND IS SHAPING UP TO BE
WET AS A SERIES OF WEATHER SYSTEMS IMPACT THE REGION. SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY...ESPECIALLY ACROSS IOWA AND SOUTHERN
WISCONSIN. TEMPERATURES WILL WARM ON SATURDAY...WITH 60S
EXPECTED.
