Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley

Patchy areas of drizzle were seen across the region today. Skies
were mostly cloudy, but some clearing was occurring over eastern
Minnesota and central Iowa. Temperatures this afternoon were in the
mid 50s to lower 60s.

Cloud cover will linger east of the Mississippi River tonight, while
gradual clearing continues to the west. Patchy areas of drizzle may
continue in Wisconsin overnight. Lows are expected to be in the
upper 40s and lower 50s.

Periods of rain are expected Friday and Saturday. The best chances
for rain on Friday will be south of Interstate 90 during the
afternoon and evening. On Saturday, the entire region will see rain
during the day and into the evening, with thunderstorms possible
over eastern Iowa and southern Wisconsin. Highs on Friday and
Saturday will range from the upper 50s to upper 60s. Sunday will be
much cooler as rain exits the region, with highs only reaching the
upper 40s to mid 50s.
