Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley

Mild and partly to mostly cloudy conditions prevailed across the
region during the early afternoon hours. A few sprinkles were also
noted during the period. Temperatures were generally in the upper
50s to middle 60s around mid afternoon with a few reading in the
upper 60s.

Look for lows in the 30s tonight and then a cool down on Thursday
with a reading in the 40s.

A winter storm is still slated to march across the region Thursday
night through Friday night. Rain...snow and wind will accompany the
storm. The greater risk for the heaviest snows lie from south
central Minnesota into northwest Wisconsin.  The preciptiation will
remain mostly as rain across eastern Iowa into the southern half of
Wisconsin on Friday before changing over late in the day.
