Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley
National Weather Service La Crosse WI
423 AM CST Tue Jan 23 2018

Last evening saw periods of rain, snow, and a wintry mix as a
strong winter storm moved across the region. Travel was difficult
across much of the area with slick, snow or slush covered roads.
Temperatures were in the mid 20 to lower 30s.

Early this morning, some lingering light snow continues across
portions of the area with up to an additional inch of accumulation.
Untreated roads and sidewalks will become icy as cold air moves
in, impacting the morning commute, especially in rural areas. Lows
this morning will bottom out in the upper teens into the 20s.

Once the snow moves out later this morning, expect quieter weather
through the rest of the work week. Seasonable temperatures through
Wednesday will rise well above normal by week`s end.
