WEATHER SUMMARY FOR UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY

SCATTERD SHOWERS SPREAD ACROSS MUCH OF THE UPPER MIDWEST AND MOVED
INTO THE WESTERN GREAT LAKES DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS. RAINFALL
AMOUNTS WERE ON THE LIGHT SIDE OVER THE UPPER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY BUT
SOMEWHAT GREATER AMOUNTS WERE REPORTED FARTHER SOUTH OVER EASTEN
IOWA. MID AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WERE QUITE COOL WITH READING ONLY
IN THE 40S OVER MOST LOCATIONS BUT EASING INTO THE LOWER 50S OVER
WESTERN WISCONSIN.

THE WEATHER SYSTEM MOVING THROUGH THE AREA WILL SPREAD MORE SHOWERS
AND POSSIBLY A FEW THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE REGION THROUGH THE
EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HOURS. THE PRECIPITAITI0N...BECOMING SOMEWHAT
HEAVIER AT TIMES...WILL THEN CONTINUE INTO THE OVERNIGHT AND MORNING
HOURS ON THURSDAY. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS WILL BE
AN INCH OR BETTER OVER MOST AREAS.

OVERNIGHT...EXPECT LOW TEMPERATURE IN THE LOW AND MID 40S ALONG AND
WEST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER...AND THEN IN A 35 TO 40 DEGREE RANGE
TO THE EAST. ON THURSDAY TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE MOSTLY IN THE
50S...THOUGH READINGS WILL RISE ONLY INTO THE MID 40S ACROSS NORTH
CENTRAL WISCONSIN...AND REACH THE MID 60S OVER CENTRAL IOWA.
