WEATHER SUMMARY FOR UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
419 AM CST SUN DEC 14 2014

DENSE FOG AND PATCHY DRIZZLE ENCOMPASSED MUCH OF THE UPPER
MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY REGION DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS...RESULTING
FROM SOUTHERLY WINDS BRINGING IN GULF OF MEXICO MOISTURE.
TEMPERATURES WERE UNSEASONABLY WARM FOR THE EARLY MORNING HOURS OF
A MID DECEMBER DAY...RANGING FROM THE UPPER 30S OVER NORTH CENTRAL
WISCONSIN TO THE LOW TO MID 40S ELSEWHERE.

EXPECT CLOUDY SKIES...FOG AND SOME DRIZZLE TO PERSIST THROUGH
MUCH OF TODAY WITH THE LOWEST VISIBILITIES THIS MORNING. DESPITE
THESE CONDITIONS...A SOUTH BREEZE WILL HELP TEMPERATURES CLIMB
INTO THE MID 40S TO MID 50S...WARMEST IN NORTHEAST IOWA. THESE
READINGS ARE APPROACHING RECORD HIGHS...MOST OF WHICH WERE SET IN
1998. PLAN ON MORE FOG...CLOUDS AND DRIZZLE TONIGHT AS A LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM BEGINS TO APPROACH THE REGION FROM THE CENTRAL
PLAINS. ANOTHER NIGHT OF UNSEASONABLY WARM READINGS ARE EXPECTED
WITH LOWS IN THE 40S.

LOOKING AHEAD TO MONDAY...RAIN WILL GRADUALLY MOVE NORTHWARD FROM
IOWA THROUGH MINNESOTA AND WISCONSIN DURING THE DAY. EXPECT THIS
RAIN TO RESULT IN NEARLY STEADY TEMPERATURES IN THE 40S.
ADDITIONALLY SOME FOG COULD STILL LINGER IN THE MORNING UNTIL THE
RAIN ARRIVES.
