Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley

Clear skies and unseasonably mild temperatures prevailed across
the Upper Midwest during the late evening and overnight hours.
Even with the clear skies and light winds, early morning
temperatures across the region were mostly in the 30s to lower
40s, some 20 to 30 degrees above the normals for this time of
year.

Sunny and mostly sunny skies will continue across the Upper
Midwest today. With light winds and the warm start, highs are
expected to range from some upper 40s across the northland, to the
mid and upper 60s across southern Iowa.

Mainly high clouds are expected to increase across the region
tonight, helping to keep lows once again on the mild side. Look
for lows to night to range from the mid and upper 20s across the
northland, to the lower 40s across southern Iowa.

Looking ahead, Sunday is going to be a partly sunny day with highs
mostly in the 50s to lower 60s. Rain and a few thunderstorms are
expected to move in on Monday, with temperatures remaining well
above normal.
