Dodge Center, Rochester, Winona, Austin, Preston, and Caledonia

...Some Difficult Travel Into This Evening...

Recent snowfall combined with northwest winds gusting at times to
30 mph will create some areas of blowing and drifting snow across
portions of southeast Minnesota and northeast Iowa into this
evening. Unsheltered open areas are prone to the worst reductions
in visibility, which may drop to one mile or less at times. In
addition, roads will continue to be slippery in spots due to
drifting snow. Slow down and exercise caution if traveling late
this afternoon and early evening as driving conditions may change
rapidly over short distances.
