The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Western Winona County in southeastern Minnesota...
  Eastern Olmsted County in southeastern Minnesota...
  South central Wabasha County in southeastern Minnesota...
  Fillmore County in southeastern Minnesota...

* Until 600 PM CDT

* At 448 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Oronoco to 6 miles south of Byron to near Lyle,
  moving east at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement. Wind damage reports have been received
           in Dodge County with these storms. Buildings have been
           damaged.

  IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

  Rochester around 500 PM CDT.
  Elgin around 505 PM CDT.
  Eyota around 510 PM CDT.
  Chatfield and Plainview around 515 PM CDT.
  Dover, Spring Valley and Fountain around 520 PM CDT.
  St. Charles around 525 PM CDT.
  Lanesboro around 530 PM CDT.
  Lewiston around 535 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include
Fillmore, Marion, Rushford Village, Pleasant Grove and Washington.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing widespread
wind damage. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay
away from windows! Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief
tornadoes and widespread significant wind damage.

Although a tornado is not immediately likely, it is best to move to
an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. These storms may
cause serious injury and significant property damage.
