...Gusty Winds at Times Through Afternoon...

Gusty northwest winds are accompanying a cold front moving
southeast through Iowa this morning. Wind gusts may briefly reach
40 mph or higher through late afternoon as the colder air moves
into the area.

Area travelers should be aware of the breezy conditions and brief
stronger gusts which may result in difficult driving for short
periods of time. Stronger sustained winds are occurring over
Western Iowa where a wind advisory is in place for the remainder
of today through 6 p.m.
