.DISCUSSION...

Good morning!

For today, any rain and thunderstorm chances will largely remain
confined to areas along and south of a line from Columbus to Macon
to Augusta. Rain chances will begin to increase through the
overnight hours into early Sunday. Widespread rain and isolated
thunderstorms are expected for much of North and Central Georgia
(including Athens) through the day on Sunday. Rain looks to come
to an end for Athens during the late evening hours (after 7-8PM).
This will be followed by dry weather on Monday.

Despite negligible rain chances today, clouds will begin to
increase through the afternoon. Another warm day is expected for
Athens with temperatures this morning in the low 60s, warming to
near 80 by noon, and peaking at around 83 this afternoon (2-4PM).
With relative humidity hovering around 45-55%, heat indices are
not expected to be an issue. Winds will remain out of the W today
at 8 to 12 MPH.

Let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.
