.Short term...
TONIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT...A strong high pressure to the
south of Fiji is slowly moving east while generating breezy east
winds over the islands tonight through Monday afternoon. As the
high propagates and strengthens, winds will intensify to strong
and gusty conditions on Monday night and persist through the rest
of the short term. Scattered moisture and showers will at times
pass over the islands on Monday. Active surface trough to the
southwest will expand towards the islands on Tuesday night and
again spread scattered showers.

.Long term...
WEDNESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...The surface trough will move south
southeast on Wednesday night and hence diminish showers and east
winds on Thursday. Another high pressure approaching from the
southwest will again commence the next episode of trades for the
latter part of the week.

Seas have elevated 6 to 8 ft in the afternoon and will persist in
the next few days. Breezy east winds have just begun to move
across the island chain. Models suggest that seas of 6 to 8 ft
will remain from tonight to Monday afternoon. Strong and gusty
winds will further escalate seas 7 to 9 ft from Monday night
through Wednesday night. With winds diminishing gradually, seas
will also subside below advisory levels on Thursday morning.

High surf advisory is in effect through Wednesday night.
Small craft advisory is in effect through Wednesday night.
