202 PM SST MON AUG 31 2015

.SHORT TERM...
.TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT...A STATIONARY FRONT UPSTREAM WILL
CONTINUE TO LINGER OVER TOKELAU THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON WHILE A
STRONG HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM WELL SOUTH OF THE REGION WILL DRIFT
EASTWARD THROUGH WEDNESDAY. COMPUTER MODELS NOW SUGGEST ONLY MINIMAL

FRESH TRADE-WINDS THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT. WIND SPEED WILL DROP TO
NEAR 10 TO 15 KT ON WEDNESDAY AS THE SURFACE RIDGE EXTENDS TO THE
SOUTH OF THE AREA DURING WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

.LONG TERM...
.THURSDAY THROUGH MONDAY...A SURFACE RIDGE WILL REMAIN TO THE SOUTH
OF THE SAMOAN ISLANDS THUS ALLOWING MAINLY FAVORABLE WEATHER TO
MOVE ACROSS THE REGION DURING THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. AS A RESULT...
ANTICIPATE GENTLE TO MODERATE EAST TO SOUTHEAST WINDS AND ISOLATED SHOWERS.

&&

.MARINE...A COMBINED SOUTH SWELL AND TRADE-WIND GENERATED SEAS AND
SWELLS UP TO 14 FT WILL GRADUALLY SUBSIDE TO NEAR 7 TO 9 FT WEDNESDAY
