the following rivers in Illinois...
  Kishwaukee River at Belvidere affecting Boone County

.Over Four inches of rain fell over the Kishwaukee River near
Belvidere over the last 24 hours with more rainfall expected
today and Friday. This has caused significant a significant rise
in the river level.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...If you encounter a flooded roadway...turn around and
find an alternate route.

The Flood Warning continues for
 The Kishwaukee River at Belvidere.
* until Saturday afternoon.
* At  815 AM Thursday the stage was 9.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 10.7 feet by
  early Friday. The river will fall below flood stage late Saturday
  morning.
