Weather Summary for Upper Mississippi River Valley
National Weather Service La Crosse WI
330 PM CST Tue Jan 24 2017

Patchy fog dissipated by the late morning hours on Tuesday, but skies
remained cloudy throughout the region. Temperatures during the
afternoon were in the 30s.

A winter storm will track through the area tonight leading to snow
accumulations in the 3 to 9 inch range, with the highest amounts
mainly along and south of Interstate 90. Snow covered and
slippery roads will be likely, leading to hazardous travel,
especially for the Wednesday morning commute. Farther south in
eastern Iowa and far southern Wisconsin, more rain will be mixed
with the snow. Otherwise, low temperatures will be the lower 30s.

Snow will continue into Wednesday afternoon before finally
tapering off late Wednesday evening. Highs on Wednesday will be in
the lower to mid 30s. Temperatures will then cool a bit to end the
work week, as highs will be in the 20s to lower 30s.
