...Strong wind gusts up to 40 mph possible through 8 PM EDT...

As a cold front continues to move through the region, strong
gusty winds will remain possible with and immediately behind the
front across portions of the Capital Region, southern Vermont,
and especially across portions of the southeast Catskills, mid
Hudson Valley, Litchfield County in Connecticut, and across the
Berkshires.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph may be strong enough to propel loose
outdoor objects, and possibly down some tree limbs. Winds should
decrease by 8 PM.
