.SHORT TERM...
TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT...SATELLITE IMAGERIES SHOW A SURFACE
TROUGH SLOWLY MIGRATING EASTWARD. ANOTHER TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE
REMAINS NEARLY STATIONARY TO THE FAR SOUTH OF THE ISLANDS. RAOB
FROM THIS AFTERNOON DEPICTS A VERY DRY AND STABLE PROFILE OVER THE
ISLANDS. MODELS ARE NOW DIMINISHING AND SHIFTING SOUTHERLY WINDS
TO THE EAST ON SATURDAY MORNING. THE TROUGH TO THE SOUTH WILL
REMAIN NEARLY STATIONARY IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS...KEEPING LIGHT AND
VARIABLE WINDS ACROSS THE ISLANDS DURING THE WEEKEND. HIGH TO THE
FAR SOUTH OF TONGA CONTINUES EAST. THEREFORE...WILL KEEP THE
PREVIOUS FCST EXCEPT FOR WINDS DIMINISHING EARLIER ON SATURDAY
MORNING.

.LONG TERM...
MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...A MID LEVEL RIDGE EXTENDING FROM THE EAST
WILL DOMINATE AND STABILIZE MOST OF THE FCST DURING THE LONG TERM.
THE TROUGH FROM THE NORTHEAST IS NOW EXPECTED TO WEAKEN BEFORE IT
REACHES THE ISLANDS ON MONDAY. THEREFORE...WILL KEEP SHOWERS AT A
MINIMAL WHILE MONITORING THE MOVEMENTS AND DEVELOPMENTS OF THESE
SIGNIFICANT WEATHER FEATURES.
