...Flood Potential Outlook for main stem river flooding, on rivers
and streams in the following counties in Oregon...Coos...Curry...Douglas...

.Moderate to heavy precipitation late Friday night through Sunday morning
could cause rapid rises in streams and rivers. The heaviest rainfall is
expected to be from Saturday morning through Sunday morning then rain
will slowly decrease in intensity Sunday afternoon. People recreating
near rivers should pay attention to rapid rises in rivers.

Coastal areas could get 3 to 6 inches of rain and 2 to 4 inches in
western Douglas County.

A flood potential outlook is issued when there is the potential for
significant rises or flooding along rivers and streams.

This product will be updated as more information becomes available.


The exact scenario for flooding remains uncertain but flooding is
possible. At the very least, quick rises are expected on area
streams, creeks and rivers. Watches and warnings will be issued by
the National Weather Service if this situation worsens.
