...Forecast Flooding Changed from Minor to Moderate Severity for the
   following rivers in Illinois...Kentucky...Missouri...

   Ohio River at Cairo affecting Alexander...Pulaski...Ballard...
   Carlisle...Fulton...Hickman and Mississippi Counties.

.With the anticipation of very heavy rainfall near the confluence of
the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers over the weekend, moderate flood
conditions will develop at Cairo, IL the middle of next week.



Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated

...forecast flooding increased from Minor to Moderate severity...
  The Flood Warning continues for the Ohio River at Cairo
* At 12 PM Friday the stage was 40.8 feet.
* Flood Stage is 40.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Moderate flood conditions expected Wednesday. A crest
  near 49 feet is expected by next Saturday.
* Impact...At 50.0 Feet...The first gate is closed at Cairo.
