Fire Weather Notification Message

Critical fire weather conditions are expected across the Mid-South
today. Gusty southwest winds are expected with relative humidity
falling to 20 to 30 percent. Winds will decrease quickly by
sunset.

Red Flag conditions may occur this afternoon in Northeast
Arkansas, the Missouri Bootheel, extreme West Tennessee, and
Northwest Mississippi as strong southwest winds are expected to
occur.

Burn bans remain in effect for Clay, Craighead, Crittenden,
Cross, Greene, Lawrence, Lee, Mississippi, and Randolph Counties
in Eastern Arkansas.

Caution should be used in any outdoor burning. Contact your local
government or fire control officials for information regarding
any burn restrictions.
