A LARGE BAND OF RAIN AND EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE THIS
EVENING ACROSS THE WESTERN HALF OF THE PENINSULA WITH THE AREA
MOVING VERY LITTLE. THE STRONGEST STORMS WILL CONTAIN FREQUENT
LIGHTNING STRIKES ALONG WITH TORRENTIAL RAINFALL. AMOUNTS OF TWO
TO FOUR INCHES HAVE FALLEN IN THE VICINITY OF LA BELLE AND AN
ADDITIONAL ONE TO TWO INCHES ARE POSSIBLE FROM NORTHERN GLADES
COUNTY INTO THE NORTHERN HENDRY COUNTY AND THEN EXTENDING TO
COASTAL COLLIER COUNTY NEAR NAPLES. SOME OF THE STORMS COULD
SPREAD ONTO LAKE OKEECHOBEE AND THE NEAR SHORE GULF COASTAL
WATERS.
