Offshore waters forecast for Gulf of Alaska east of 144W

Wind forecasts reflect the predominant speed and direction
expected. Sea forecasts represent the average of the highest
one-third of the combined windwave and swell height.

A ridge of high pressure will remain over the inner channels
Friday. Friday night a gale force low pressure system  will move
into the eastern gulf from the south. The associated  front will
pass over the southern panhandle Saturday morning then  spread
north. The low will remain over the eastern gulf through  Sunday
and slowly weaken.

.TONIGHT...E wind 20 kt increasing to 30 kt late. Seas building to
8 ft. Strongest winds and highest seas southern half. Rain
showers late.
.SAT...E wind 30 kt. Seas building to 10 ft. SW swell in the
afternoon. Rain showers in the morning.
.SAT NIGHT...E wind 25 kt. Seas 10 ft. SE swell.
.SUN...NE wind 20 kt. Seas 7 ft.
