Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
315 PM EST Sat Dec 16 2017

A cold front moves across the region this evening. Isolated snow
showers are possible as this front moves through. Otherwise, high
pressure builds into the region through Sunday. Skies will become
partly cloudy tonight with lows in the teens inland and lower to
middle 20s closer to the coast.

Dry and unseasonably chilly conditions are expected on Sunday as
high pressure settles over the Tri-State. The day starts out
partly cloudy before becoming mostly cloudy in the afternoon as
the next frontal system begins to approach from the west.
Temperatures will only reach the lower and middle 30s.

As the front nears Sunday night, there is a chance for light
precipitation. Any light precipitation that develops may be in the
form of snow initially, before becoming a wintry mix of snow,
freezing rain, or rain.
