INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...OSWEGO...WATERTOWN...LOWVILLE

...AN AREA OF SHOWERS WITH A FEW RUMBLES OF THUNDER PRODUCING
HEAVY RAIN THIS AFTERNOON...

AT 245 PM...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN
AREA OF SHOWERS WITH A FEW RUMBLES OF THUNDER PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN
ACROSS JEFFERSON...OSWEGO AND LEWIS COUNTIES...THIS INCLUDES THE
TOWNSHIPS OF EVANS MILLS...CHAUMONT...CALCIUM...AND PALERMO.
SHOWERS ARE INCREASING IN COVERAGE OVER OSWEGO COUNTY. THESE STORMS HAVE
ALREADY PRODUCED ISOLATED AREAS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES. THESE STORMS
ARE MOVING VERY SLOWLY AND HAVE THE CAPABILITY OF PRODUCING
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF ONE INCH OR MORE IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME
THAT WILL CREATE SIGNIFICANT PONDING OF WATER ON AREA ROADWAYS AND
POOR DRAINAGE FLOODING.

IF YOU ARE TRAVELING ACROSS THIS REGION THESE STORMS WILL BRING
ABOUT POOR VISIBILITIES. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU SLOW DOWN AND
ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATIONS THIS AFTERNOON. ALSO...IF
YOU ENCOUNTER ANY WATER ACROSS AREA ROADWAYS...TURN AROUND AND
DON`T ATTEMPT TO CROSS THE FLOODED ROADS.
