Showers and the occasional thunderstorm continue to push northeast
across the northern portions of the region through this afternoon.
On the backside of a cold front that has moved across the region,
breezy to windy conditions will continue through the day today
before settling down this evening. Highs today will range in the
low 60s west to around 80 southeast this afternoon. Additional
shower and thunderstorm chances are expected to return tonight in
eastern Montana and the Dakotas. Sunday will be warmer, with
breezy winds mainly in the southern half of the region. Shower and
thunderstorm chances will increase through the day. A few strong
to severe storms are possible, mainly in South Dakota. Near to
below average temperatures are then expected through next week,
with periodic showers and thunderstorms.
