A WINTER STORM WAS IMPACTING THE NORTHERN PLAINS...WITH LIGHT TO
MODERATE SNOW FALLING ACROSS SOUTH DAKOTA AND PARTS OF MINNESOTA.
NORTHWEST WINDS ACROSS THE REGION WERE ALSO GUSTING NEAR 40 MPH.
WINDS WILL DIMINISH THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM NORTHWEST TO
SOUTHEAST. FOR PARTS OF EASTERN SOUTH DAKOTA AND WESTERN MINNESOTA
THE COMBINATION OF WIND AND FRESH SNOW WILL CREATE REDUCED
VISIBILITY IN BLOWING SNOW. VISIBILITY AT TIMES WILL BE
ZERO...MAINLY IN OPEN COUNTRY.

TEMPERATURES TODAY WILL STEADILY FALL AS COLDER ARCTIC AIR PUSHES
SOUTH OUT OF CANADA. HIGHS WILL RANGE FROM THE SINGLE DIGITS
NORTHWEST TO 20S SOUTHEAST. SNOW WILL TAPER OFF THROUGH THE
AFTERNOON...HOWEVER BLOWING SNOW WILL PERSIST INTO THE EVENING FOR
EASTERN SOUTH DAKOTA AND MINNESOTA.

LOWS TONIGHT WILL DROP TO THE TEENS BELOW ZERO NORTH TO THE SINGLE
DIGITS BELOW SOUTH. DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS IN THE 30S BELOW ZERO
ARE EXPECTED OVERNIGHT ACROSS NORTH DAKOTA...THE SOUTHERN CANADIAN
PRAIRIES...AND NORTHERN MINNESOTA.
