The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Poor Drainage Areas
  Woodford County in central Kentucky...
  Southeastern Scott County in central Kentucky...
  Northwestern Garrard County in central Kentucky...
  Southwestern Clark County in central Kentucky...
  Jessamine County in central Kentucky...
  Northwestern Madison County in central Kentucky...
  Fayette County in central Kentucky...

* Until 1245 PM EST

* At 1049 AM EST, Fayette County emergency management reported minor
  street flooding due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and
  small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result
  in minor flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Lexington, Richmond, Nicholasville, Versailles, Meadowthorpe,
  Dunbar High School, Thoroughbred Acres, Cardinal Hill, Cadentown
  and Northland.


Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
