Rip Current Risk:      Low risk. The risk for rip currents is low,
                       however, life threatening rip currents often
                       occur in the vicinity of the South Padre Island
                       jetties. Remember to swim near a lifeguard, if

Ultraviolet Index:     Very High. Wear a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses,
                       and use sunscreen of SPF 15 or higher. Remain in
                       shade if possible.

Weather:               Partly cloudy.

Temperatures:          Mid 70s.

Wind:                  Southeast 15 to 20 mph.

Wave Heights:          1 to 3 feet.

Surf Temperature:      65 degrees.

Bay Temperature:       64 degrees.

Tides:                 A low at 9 41 am. A high at 5 33 pm.
                       A minor low at 10 33 pm.

Outlook:               An elevated risk of rip currents will be
                       possible from Sunday night through next
                       Thursday. The chance of rain returns
                       Tuesday and continues through next week,
                       with the best chances Wednesday into
                       Thursday due to the arrival and passage
                       of a cold front. High temperatures in the
                       mid 70s continue until the front cools
                       Thursday into the upper 60s.
