AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN OVER THE MIDSOUTH
OVER THE WEEKEND THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK. AS A RESULT...HOT
AND HUMID CONDITIONS WILL PREVAIL. AFTERNOON HEAT INDICES WILL BE
105 DEGREES OR GREATER AT LEAST THROUGH THE WEEKEND. ISOLATED TO
SCATTERED DIURNAL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE
THROUGH THE PERIOD AS WELL.

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE MIDSOUTH ON THURSDAY AND MAY
BRING INCREASE CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. COOLER
TEMPERATURES WILL OCCUR BEHIND THE FRONT.
