Weather Summary for the MidSouth
National Weather Service Memphis TN
411 AM CDT Wed May 24 2017

An upper level low pressure system will move across the Mid South
today bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms along with
below average temperatures. Highs will remain in the upper 60s
this afternoon. Rain chances should diminish tonight as the upper
low moves east.

High pressure will build in for the end of the week with mainly
dry weather conditions and warmer temperatures for Thursday into
Friday.

Very warm and humid weather conditions can be anticipate for this
weekend. An upper level disturbance will interact with an
increasingly unstable airmass to produce scattered to numerous
showers and thunderstorms. The greatest storm coverage can be
expected Saturday night into Sunday. Highs will be mainly in the
80s with lows around 70 degrees.

A return to typical late Spring weather conditions can be expected
across the region early next week. Temperatures will remain near
normal for the end of May into early June with isolated showers
and thunderstorms possible through the extended forecast period.
