...The growing season ends for Wyoming County...

The 2016 growing season is over for portions of Western and North
Central New York. For some counties this is because a killing
frost occurred on Tuesday, October 11th. In addition, the growing
season ends today for Wyoming county since October 15th is two
weeks past the normal first freeze date for the county.
Currently, the growing season is over for the following

Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Allegany, Wyoming, Oswego, Jefferson,
and Lewis.

This means that for these counties listed above, Frost Advisories
and Freeze Watches and Warnings will not be issued again until the
start of the growing season in Spring of 2017.

The growing season continues until October 25th, or the first
freeze, for the following counties...

Erie, Niagara, Orleans, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario,
Wayne, and Northern Cayuga counties.
