...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN WICHITA...
SOUTHEASTERN WALLACE...SOUTHWESTERN LOGAN AND NORTHEASTERN GREELEY
COUNTIES THROUGH 515 PM MDT/615 PM CDT/...

At 450 PM MDT/550 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong
thunderstorm 11 miles south of Wallace, or 14 miles southeast of
Sharon Springs, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible. Accumulating hail may accompany these storms.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern
Wichita, southeastern Wallace, southwestern Logan and northeastern
Greeley Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Goodland.
