214 AM CDT MON JUL 24 2017

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flood Advisory for Minor Flooding in Poor Drainage Areas for...
Wise County in north central Texas...
Denton County in north central Texas...

* Until 515 AM CDT.

* At 213 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms that were
producing moderate to heavy rainfall across much of Wise and
Denton Counties. Excessive runoff from these thunderstorms will
cause minor flooding. Areas that are low lying or usually
experience poor drainage are most likely to experience flooding.
This means some low water crossings in the region may become
  impassable.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Plano, Carrollton, Frisco, Denton, Lewisville, Flower Mound,
Coppell, The Colony, Southlake, Corinth, Highland Village, Trophy
Club, Lake Dallas, Sanger, Decatur, Bridgeport, Lake Lewisville,
  Briar, Little Elm and Roanoke.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
