At 545 PM, a line of showers and isolated thunderstorms extended
from San Fernando and Van Nuys eastward into the San Gabriel
Valley. This line was moving south at 15 mph and will affect much
of the San Gabriel Valley, the eastern San Fernando Valley and
coastal sections of Los Angeles County from the 405 freeway
eastward. Heavy downpours and small hail can be expected with this
line of showers through 7 PM PST. The heavy downpours will cause
ponding of water on area roadways and local brief flooding of low
lying areas and intersections. It also may cause minor mud and
debris flows in and near the recent burn areas.
