...WATER RELEASES FROM GRANITE REEF DAM INTO THE SALT RIVER
CHANNEL...

AT 625 PM TUESDAY...SALT RIVER PROJECT OFFICIALS INDICATED THAT 160
CUBIC FEET PER SECOND (CFS) OF WATER WAS BEING RELEASED THROUGH THE
GRANITE REEF DAM INTO THE SALT RIVER.

THIS AMOUNT OF FLOW WILL BE CONTAINED WITHIN THE BANKS OF THE SALT
RIVER...AND AT THIS TIME IS NOT EXPECTED TO IMPACT ANY DOWNSTREAM
UNBRIDGED CROSSINGS.

INCREASES IN THE AMOUNT OF WATER FLOWING DOWNSTREAM OVER GRANITE
REEF DAM COULD OCCUR WITHIN THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

IF YOU HAVE ANY INTERESTS ALONG THE SALT RIVER...ESPECIALLY ALONG
LOW LYING AREAS...TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS...AND REMAIN ALERT FOR
INCREASES IN THE RIVER LEVEL. REMEMBER...BE A SMART MOTORIST AND DO
NOT DRIVE THROUGH WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH. THE WATER MAY BE DEEPER
AND STRONGER THAN YOU THINK.
