Area Weather Outlook
National Weather Service Eastern ND/Grand Forks
1130 AM CDT Thu Aug 17 2017

Overcast conditions will gradually clear out of west central and
northwest Minnesota today as the upper level system churns eastward
into the Great Lakes region. Overcast conditions over parts of west
central and northwest Minnesota will make for a cooler day with
highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s. For other locations across the
Red River Valley and eastern North Dakota, expect a nice mostly
sunny afternoon with high temperatures expected to reach the upper
70s to lower 80s.

Dry weather will be brief, due to chances for scattered shower
activity and isolated thunder returning to eastern North Dakota this
evening and spreading across the area overnight and through Friday
as the next system approaches. After showers and storms exit the
area Friday evening, drier and warmer weather will be in store for
much of the weekend.
